The main reason for cooling tower repairs is corrosion. Several components of the AHU (air-handler unit) as well as the cooling tower system are susceptible to corrosion, and for this reason, must be regularly maintained. Often times, the protective coating/paint on AHU’s and cooling towers tends to peel near the end of it’s life, making way for corrosion to set in. Exposure to chemical & harsh weather conditions doesn’t help the situation any either.
